Drywall Service Area: All of Brevard County, Florida

Seventy-two miles of county, from the Volusia line down to the Indian River County line, mainland and barrier island. We have worked in all of it for forty years, which means we usually know what is on your walls before we pull into the driveway.

North Brevard

Titusville, Mims & Port St. John

North Brevard filled up fast when the space program did — the county more than doubled its population in the 1960s, and Titusville took a large share of it. That means block houses with furred exterior walls, hand and stomp ceiling textures nobody applies anymore, and a lot of original ceiling texture still up there sixty years later.

What we get called for up here: water stains on ceilings after a roof finally gives up, settling cracks in block-and-fur walls, and matching textures on walls that have been patched two or three times by somebody else. Mims and Port St. John add older houses with more of the same.

Central Brevard

Cocoa & Rockledge

Cocoa and Rockledge hold some of the oldest housing stock in the county, including river-front homes that predate the space boom entirely, alongside whole neighborhoods of 1960s block construction.

Older houses move, and movement shows up in drywall: diagonal cracks off door and window corners, tape lines lifting at ceiling joints, and nail pops across a whole wall. We tape those cracks properly rather than filling them, because a filled crack is back within a season.

Central Brevard

Merritt Island

Merritt Island is mostly 1960s and 1970s block homes between two bodies of water, which is a specific combination: block-and-fur exterior walls, high humidity year round, and drywall that has to live with both.

Common jobs here are bathroom walls and ceilings where the exhaust fan never worked, garage walls that were finished to a lower standard than the house, and ceiling patches in homes being tidied up before a sale. Where moisture has come through the block into the furring, we cut back and tell you what we find instead of covering it.

Barrier island, north

Cocoa Beach & Cape Canaveral

Beachside north is condos, older single-family, and a large share of rental and seasonal property — so the work is often turnover work on a schedule: patch, match, ready for paint, done before the next tenant.

Salt air and constant humidity are hard on everything, and a beachside bathroom or a unit that sat closed up for a season will tell you so. We also do a steady amount of ceiling repair after roof and window leaks, which the island gets more of than the mainland.

Central Brevard

Viera & Suntree

These are the county's newer neighborhoods — Suntree started going up in the 1970s, and Viera's master plan broke ground in 1989 on what had been the Deseret ranch. Mostly knockdown or orange peel on the walls, which is its own kind of matching problem.

So the work changes. Here it is mostly patch repair and texture matching in houses now twenty to thirty years old — harder than it sounds on a sprayed knockdown wall. Get the splatter size or the knockdown timing wrong and the patch reads from the doorway.

South Brevard

Melbourne & West Melbourne

Melbourne has the widest range of housing in Brevard: old Eau Gallie stock, 1960s growth-era neighborhoods, 1980s subdivisions, and newer builds, sometimes within a few blocks of each other.

That range is why texture matching matters so much here — every era has its own finish, and a repair has to match the house it is in, not a generic spray. We patch and match across all of it, and West Melbourne adds a steady run of newer houses with sprayed textures.

South Brevard

Palm Bay, Malabar & Grant-Valkaria

Palm Bay is the county's largest city by population and grew mostly through the 1980s and after — which lines up with Brevard overall, where more housing was built in the 1980s than in any other decade.

Eighties and nineties houses mean knockdown and orange peel texture, settling cracks, and nail pops showing up all at once. Malabar and Grant-Valkaria are rural by comparison: bigger lots, longer drives, same patches.

Barrier island, south

Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, Indialantic & Melbourne Beach

The south beaches went up largely in the 1960s and 1970s, close to the water, and they have taken every storm since. We have patched a lot of these ceilings and walls — in some cases more than once, decades apart.

Typical work: ceiling repair after wind-driven water gets in, and bathroom and laundry walls that have absorbed years of humidity. Texture on beachside houses is often an older hand pattern, which is exactly the kind of match we are known for.

Far south Brevard

Micco & Barefoot Bay

Barefoot Bay is the largest manufactured-home community in Florida, with homes going back to the 1970s, and it sits in the Micco area at the south end of the county. We work down here, and we will be straight with you about what that means.

Manufactured and modular homes often do not have standard drywall. Many have gypsum panels with battens or vinyl-faced board, which cannot always be patched and blended the way conventional drywall can. We will come look, tell you honestly whether a repair will disappear or merely improve things, and let you decide before any money is spent. Site-built rooms and enclosed porches down here take conventional drywall, so those patch normally.

Common questions

Working across the county

Do you charge a trip fee for the far ends of the county?
No. Titusville to Micco is all home for us, and estimates are free anywhere in Brevard County.
Do you work outside Brevard County?
Very rarely, and we would rather tell you that up front. Staying inside one county is why we can get to a small repair quickly and why we know what is on the walls before we walk in.
Do you take jobs on the barrier island?
Yes — Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, Indialantic, and Melbourne Beach are regular stops, including condo and rental turnover work.
How soon can you get to my part of the county?
Usually within a couple of days for a free written estimate, wherever you are in Brevard. Call (321) 252-9702 and describe what you have.

Wherever you are in Brevard, the estimate is free.
